The Legacy of S.R. Butler - From Butler High School to Butler Green

3/20/2016

What a beautiful day to celebrate the legacy of S.R. Butler with the opening of the new S.R. Butler Green Park, located at Campus No. 805 (former Stone Middle School building) near the intersection of Clinton Avenue and Governors Drive.

Green has many meanings in Huntsville, Alabama on 17 March 2016 - Butler High School colors, St. Patrick's Day, and new green space!] Thank you to the City of Huntsville for preserving the Butler legacy with this addition.  Thank you to Terrie Littrell for bringing her megaphone, one of the best local history artifacts, to the ceremony.
